About CBMC Heartland | Omaha | Council Bluffs
CBMC is a group of men in the marketplace living out their faith in authentic relationships. The CBMC is Christian Business Men’s Connection.
The Heartland CBMC covers Eastern Nebraska from Hwy 81 East and the Platte River North which includes Omaha, and Western Iowa including Council Bluffs. Christian business men in the Lincoln area should visit Lincoln.cbmc.com.
For men who have no understanding of the promises of Jesus, we simply spend time interacting with them, at their pace, on such topics as:
- What’s the real purpose of life?
- Are Christianity and the Bible still credible after all these years?
- How can I be a better professional?
- How can I make my marriage work?
- Where is God?
- Who is Jesus?
- Can I honestly be accepted and forgiven?
We welcome every man no matter what background or how much you know. We’re more interested in how much passion you possess for learning.
We help men with daily life and business struggles, and more importantly, our men have a heart for just that. Remember, Christ didn’t come to save the “found” and the “perfect.” He tells all who are weary and downtrodden to “Come to me.” If you’re weighed down by junk in your life, there is a man nearby who would consider it an honor to draw alongside you to point the way to Christ.
Whatever your current role in business, whatever you aspire to be, we will help you think biblically about it. As Christians in the business world, we desire to love Christ Jesus more than our work or our wealth. That doesn’t come naturally for us, so we help each other mature into the businessmen God wants us to be.
We “Point the Way to Christ” meaning we share the Christian gospel or good news. It is one of the two main things we do. In short, everyone lives in rebellion to God by living our own way. We naturally rebel, because we were born that way. Jesus made the sacrifice necessary to make us right with God, so that by faith and God’s grace, we can follow Him. Following Him is the only way to live.
Being a disciple of Christ means believing and acting on what the Bible says about God, work, and life, and then sharing that truth with others in a life-on-life relationship. Jesus calls all Christians to do this in Matthew 28:18-20. It’s called The Great Commission.
You may know about Jesus, but never had a relationship with him. The fact that you know even a little about Christ shows that somewhere, sometime, Jesus was tapping on your heart. Just know this: there are CBMC men waiting for you to say… “Yes, I want to get connected to something and someone bigger than me!”

CBMC’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values
Our Vision
For all men in our Movement to Experience:
- The Power of One God
- The Value of One Man
- The Leverage of One Team
- Resulting in Spiritual Reproduction among Businessmen throughout the World.
Our Mission
To present Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord to business and professional men and to develop Christian business and professional leaders to carry out the Great Commission.
Our Core Values
Preeminence of Christ: Intimacy with Christ is paramount; therefore, we recognize that ministry flows through spiritual leaders who are devoted to Christ and to prayer. All that we do must emanate from our life in Christ and His life in ours. “Christ in you [is] the hope of glory. We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ” Colossians 1:27-28.
Life-on-Life Relationships: We value the process of committed one-on-one relationships for evangelism and discipleship. Paul tells the church in 1 Thessalonians 2:8, “We were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God, but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us.”
Just as Paul shared his life with Timothy for the sake of the gospel, we believe in building relationships in order that we may share our lives with those in need, caring for them and being committed to them over time for the sake of the gospel.
Teams: God calls us to work together in teams in order to multiply what He wants to accomplish through us. Two or more people with an external focus compose a team whose emphasis is relationships and mission.
Our ministry is to the “whole man.” One team we seek to help is the husband and wife. This needs to be a growing relationship to sustain a fruitful ministry. “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work . . . a cord of three strands is not easily broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:9, 12).
Generational Spiritual Reproduction: The goal of the discipleship process is spiritual reproduction to the 3rd and 4th generations and beyond. Paul exhorts Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:2, “the things you have heard me say . . . entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.” We strive to fulfill the Lord’s promise in Isaiah 60:22, “The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the Lord; in its time, I will do this swiftly.”
